London Fashion Week has been and gone. Long gone are the days where I walked the runway (my last show was in 2015 before retiring to start my film production company)! However, I am still here to bring you the best looks that you can actually wear. As with all fashion weeks there are the freaky deaky “WTF is that and HTF would I even wear that” looks. These are not made for the likes of you and me…or anyone really! Designers do this for other reasons, those are not what we are exploring today. Today we will be looking at outfits Lux Lovers would actually wear and keep for years to come.
Okay, damnnnnn! This is the new CSG Lux fav designer. David Korma is a man who knows how to fit to the feminine frame. Everything he creates is chic yet dreamy. This new collection is no different. The springtime floral is a timeless trope, a creative cliché, and a fashion institution in its own right but he has done something I have never seen. He has almost made the springtime floral…naughty! Let me explain.
These are incredibly sexy designs. I would wear them on a dinner date, a night out or even an evening event. Black is a staple here with pops of colour scattered throughout. I am loving the fact that we are still seeing neon’s as well! In my most treasured look we have neon green florals YAS! Two ideas I did not think would work, but they do! The Spring-Summer 2024 Collection embraces the glamour often found within David Kormas designs but with a twist of edge to it.
There’s leg in all the right places, fine lines and an over sleek feel. I cant wait to get my hands on these bold looks!
Did someone say midsummer nights dream? Sophisticated twist on a fairy garden party. This is it! Mithridate has created the most beautiful and awe inspiring looks for the Spring-Summer 2024 Collection. It embraces grace, charm, and femininity to the highest degree!
Now, I know what you are thinking “CSG where am I going to wear this?!” This is a different vibe, more of a spring-summer wedding vibe. Or a ball/gala. This is my favourite dress from the collection but there are also more toned-down looks. Its giving Elvish Queen/punk. I am loving the mint green garments scattered through this season’s collection. I am a sucker for mint green and the shades Creative Director Demon Zhang has used are so romantic. You can see she has taken inspiration from her Chinese heritage.
Its official FLORALS are in! Whether it punk, goth or princess vibes we are seeing florals from everyone and Emilia Wickstead does it well. These are designs I can wear out to a garden party or away on vacation. The crepes and light materials used are giving lush relaxation with a touch of elegant sophistication. The epitome of modern femininity, Emilia’s designs are known for her modern silhouettes and strong colour use, the techniques she utilises serve to create clothes that effortlessly combine traditional with contemporary with an insistence on quality and a clear point of distinction.
I for one love the heavier materials she often uses as in England it can get cold without warning. From day to night she has looks that can transform your wardrobe and are easily wearable. These are also ome of the most clean lines I have ever seen on a garment!
The Spring 2024 Ready To Wear is just that – ready to wear! This is a line you can wear to a work lunch and then pop right to an outing with the ladies. Marco Capaldo is doing something right! This is a favourite to the likes of Amal Clooney, Kendall Jenner and Chrissy Teigen and now a favourite of CSG LUX.
The new sexy take on a man’s shirt is giving! Long, chic material but with a skinny belt and more flared cuff. Its long enough to wear as a dress or glam it up with something sparkly underneath.
This collection has everything we need. Feathers – check! Sequins – check! Of course, the designer kept the Kikka bags within the collection, Kikka being the cofounder and late partner of Marco Capaldo. He said he wanted to keep her close to the show and have something the models could carry close to their hearts.
The founders of 16 Arlington – the late Kikka with her partner Marco who started 16 Arlington together.
