Majestic Mykonos
My lovely husband and I have been coming here for 6 years now. Every time we come we stay somewhere different and try and explore new things all the while revisiting habitual routines. Mykonos has everything you could ever need. Its definitely a CSG Lux staple and if you do it right the memories will last a lifetime!
Magic
The magic is in the people who run the island. The service is second to none! You will meet the most kind-hearted Greek beauties who will look after your every desire, just be on the side of patience when it comes to a dinner reservation or say… a table, Greeks are notoriously late! But so is your girl so I don’t mind. I have never had any issue with a lunch booking and you know how I love to lunch!
We love Scorpios. It is epic. We are Soho House members so there is a special VIP line, which basically means you can push in front of everyone (come on, I know you love it) and get served a crisp chilled glass of Whispering Angel whilst doing it. It’s giving me the CSG Lux vibes! Once inside you really do need a table booked or try and wing it like I have done a few times. I’ve always been blessed by the food Gods and managed to nab a table. Last time we were sat next to Princess Beatrice…random LOL. Though we know the Royals love a good party. And if its good enough for CSG Lux then its good enough for them LOL!
Romance
There is so much romance in Mykonos. It’s known for its partying and world-renowned DJs sure…but you can really make it what you want. The white sandy beaches sit alongside a deep turquoise ocean. The weather is always blue skies and sunshine. The rose is forever chilled. Go with your significant other and do a more low-key trip, you can still go out until the early hours dancing at Moni if you like. I have never had a better time in Mykonos than when I have gone with my hubby.
We love to laze about for an afternoon at Alemagou, taking a late lunch, a quick dip and enjoying the chill relaxed beats. We usually get a lounging table as opposed to sitting in the restaurant. You’ll have a better view of the ocean and beach too. We aim to go around 2/3pm and stay until the early evening. It’s not too busy so you can really enjoy the time with your lover…unless you have a world class argument about nothing and refuse to get into the car together, like this one lady I saw standing on the side of the ride telling her hubby NO – that may or may not have been CSG Lux.
Another spot for the lovers is set in a secret garden in Matoyiannia, Interni Restaurant & Bar has become the synonym of the modern night culture à la Mykonos. The place to be for amazing food, fabulous drinks, fantastic music, and a vibrant atmosphere in a very sleep & stylish environment. It is another must for the romance. I also love all the pretty pink flowers, so girly!
mind & Body
My mornings in Mykonos are spent with reflection and prayer (when I can, which is usually every morning as we don’t have a packed schedule when we are here), there is no better place to do this. It is so serene and peaceful. Waking up with the sun and having a coffee outside is pure heaven. I follow this up by getting that morning Vitamin D, going for a stroll, or just chilling together by the pool. It is my favourite way to start any day.
We are avid gym goers, so we always add this to our mid-morning or mid-afternoon schedule (depending on lunch). I do credit my hubby on this one. He is so well read and up to date with everything health and wellness. We weight lift mostly, so always go to the same gym every year when we are in Mykonos. Pure Gym is right near to the town, it has enough kit to get your pump on and it has parking as well which is a godsend!
Glam
If you’re here at CSG Lux then you’re here for the Glam. Buddha-Bar Beach at Santa Marina offers just that. An amazing culinary and entertainment experience. I love the spot in Knightsbridge, London but this one is different for a multitude of reasons.
This is the world’s first Buddha-Bar Beach, which opened its doors in 2015 (the same year I started Kiwi Film House) at the seaside location of Santa Marina Resort & Villas, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos.
Set just above Santa Marina’s private beach, Buddha-Bar Beach is an Aegean interpretation of the famous Buddha-Bar lifestyle experience.
Think exotic atmosphere and smooth beats, all complemented by mouth-watering cocktails and world-class dining. Menus include fusion cuisine with a Mediterranean and Greek twist, alongside Buddha-Bar classics like Buddha-Bar Beach Signature Sushi Rolls, deep-fried calamari, or Wagyu beef fillet. There’s a very particular Buddha-Bar vibe that you’ll find there all day, culminating at sunset when some of the world’s best DJs spin the best tunes late into the night.
We love having date night here, under the stars with the lights of the yachts lighting up the water. Its magical! The kind waiting staff actually set up and took the photo of us, she said she had a vision!
